Quick Jump: FAQ | Notices

3.1 FAQ

▪ Can the owning Merchant be modified?

Yes. Click "Edit" to open the edit page and reselect the owner in the "Merchant" dropdown (a merchant or "Warehouse-owned").

▪ How is the Volume calculated?

The system calculates it automatically from the length, width, and height (in cm). The displayed unit follows the company setting: "Cubic Feet (CUFT)" or "Cubic Meters (CBM)". Volume is used for estimating freight and storage costs.

▪ What is the "Quantity"?

It is the consumable's current book stock. When shipments use the consumable in packing, the system deducts it automatically; after restocking, update the quantity on the edit page.

▪ Why are the length, width, and height empty?

For consumables without fixed dimensions (tape, cushioning, etc.), these fields are optional and may not have been filled in at creation.

▪ Is it normal for the Volume to be empty?

If any of the length, width, or height is missing, the Volume has no value. This is normal for non-boxed consumables.

▪ Does modifying a consumable affect past shipping records?

No. Shipping records that already used this consumable are unaffected; updated information only applies to future operations.

3.2 Notices

⚠️ Important Reminders

  • The Volume is auto-calculated from the dimensions and cannot be edited manually
  • The Quantity is deducted automatically as shipments use the consumable; compare it with physical stock during stocktakes
  • Modifying data does not affect past usage records
