3. FAQ
Quick Jump: FAQ | Important Notes
3.1 FAQ
▪ How are picking lists related to orders?
One picking list can contain fulfillments from multiple orders. With a picking list you pick all needed items in one pass, then distribute them to each order — far less walking than picking order by order.
▪ How do I create a new picking list?
Click the "Generate Picking List" button at the top right, or go to "Picking" → "Generate Picking List":
- Select a merchant
- Set filter conditions (channel, shipping date, products, etc.)
- Load the matching fulfillments
- Select the fulfillments to process
- Configure the picking list options and create
▪ What is a "Wave"?
A wave is a batch of fulfillments processed together. When generating picking lists, the system groups fulfillments into one or more waves according to your settings (max fulfillments per wave, separate by shipping types, etc.), and each wave splits into one or more picking lists. Click the wave number to open the wave page, where you can see all picking lists and fulfillments of the wave, print documents, and return fulfillments.
▪ Can a picking list be canceled or deleted?
A picking list cannot be deleted directly. If it should not proceed, go to the wave page and "Return" its fulfillments. Once all fulfillments are returned, the picking list is automatically marked "Terminated", and the returned fulfillments become available for new picking lists. Keeping terminated picking lists instead of deleting them preserves a complete picking trail for later investigation.
▪ How do I perform the picking work?
Click a picking list number to open the detail page, where you can:
- View the product list and shelves to pick from
- Work according to the picking method: App picking scans with a phone; paper picking prints the detail sheet for manual checking
- Track picking progress and records
▪ Why does a picking list stay in "Processing"?
Possible reasons:
- Pickers have not finished yet
- Some products are out of stock and cannot be picked
- Work was interrupted
Open the detail page to check the situation; if needed, return the blocked fulfillments on the wave page.
▪ How is "Total Quantity" calculated?
It is the sum of item quantities of all fulfillments in the picking list. For example: a picking list with 3 fulfillments of 5 items each has a total quantity of 15.
▪ Can a finished picking list be reopened?
Yes. Open the detail page of a "Done" or "Terminated" picking list and click "Continue Picking" — the list returns to "Processing". Useful for accidental completion or when items were put back and need re-picking.
3.2 Important Notes
⚠️ Important Reminders
- Processing picking lists occupy their fulfillments; other picking lists cannot select them
- Before returning fulfillments, confirm whether items already picked into the tote need to be put back first
- For large volumes, create picking lists in batches to avoid oversized lists
