Steps:

  1. Use the "Order Number" filter and enter the order number
  2. Look at records whose source document is "Picking List"
  3. Confirm the "From Shelf", "Batch" and "Expiration Date"

3.1 FAQ

▪ What's the difference between Shelf Movements and the Inventory Ledger?

  • Shelf Movements: records of goods moving "location" between shelves — putaway, picking, relocation — the total quantity may stay the same, only the location changes
  • Inventory Ledger: records of inventory "quantity" increases and decreases, such as inbound, outbound and stock-taking adjustments

When picking takes goods off a shelf, only a shelf movement is recorded; the "outbound" record appears in the Inventory Ledger only after shipping completes and the inventory is actually deducted.

▪ Can movement records be modified or deleted?

No. Shelf movements are audit records generated automatically by the system. Keeping them immutable ensures every record is trustworthy and traceable when inventory locations are in question.

▪ Why do some records have no "From Shelf"?

Those are inbound putaway records: the goods came from outside the warehouse straight onto a shelf, so there is no source shelf in the system.

▪ Why do some records have no "To Shelf"?

Those are picking records: the goods were taken off a shelf into the outbound process and left shelf management, so there is no destination shelf.

▪ How do I find all movements by a specific operator?

Filtering by operator is not supported yet. Narrow the range with "Created At" first and check the "Operator" column record by record, or export the data and filter in Excel.

▪ How do I trace the full movement path of a batch?

Use the "Batch" filter and enter the batch number. The list shows all records of that batch — putaway, relocation and picking — in time order.

⚠️ Important Reminders

  • Shelf movements are important audit data; records cannot be modified or deleted
  • All movements are recorded in real time and cannot be backfilled afterwards
  • When querying large amounts of data, narrow the range with filters
  • Opening a source document link requires access permission for that page
