1. Use Cases

Scenario 1: Create a Receiver Address for a New Merchant
Situation: A newly signed e-commerce merchant needs a dedicated receiver address in the system.
How to do it:
- Select the merchant at the top of the page
- Recommended Code format: CLIENT-merchant short name-sequence number (e.g., CLIENT-SHOPEE-01)
- Fill in the receiver information for the merchant's warehouse
- Select the merchant's main sales channel as the "Default Merchant Channel"
- Fill in the complete warehouse address (including Postal Code)
- Click "Save"
Result: The address is created and the page jumps to the detail page. The Default Merchant Channel setting lets orders auto-fill the correct address, laying a good foundation for subsequent order processing.
Scenario 2: Create Multiple Addresses for Different Delivery Points
Situation: A merchant has multiple branches or warehouses and needs an address for each delivery point.
How to do it:
▸ Plan the Naming Convention
- Code rule: STORE-city code-branch number
- For example: STORE-TP-01 (Taipei Store 1), STORE-TC-01 (Taichung Store 1)
▸ Create the Addresses
- Create the address for each branch one by one
- Set Receiver Name to the branch manager or warehouse keeper
- Set Receiver Phone to the branch's direct line
- Set the Default Merchant Channel according to business needs
Result: A unified naming convention makes management and identification easier, and clear branch codes prevent delivery mistakes.
Scenario 3: Create a Dedicated Return Address
Situation: A merchant needs a dedicated return receiving address, different from the regular delivery address.
How to do it:
- Code rule: RETURN-merchant short name-location (e.g., RETURN-CLIENT-A-WH)
- Set Receiver Name to the returns department contact
- Set Receiver Phone to the returns hotline
- Set Address to the return warehouse address
- Do not set a Default Merchant Channel (returns may come from multiple channels)
Result: Return addresses are clearly separated from regular delivery addresses, and the dedicated code prevents accidental use on regular orders.
Scenario 4: Create Multiple Addresses in a Row
Situation: A merchant provides seven or eight addresses at once and you want to enter them one after another without going back to the list each time.
How to do it:
- Fill in the first address
- Click "Save and Add Another"
- The form clears so you can enter the next one directly
- For the last address, click "Save"
Result: After each save the form clears automatically and stays on this page; saving the last one jumps to that address's detail page.
2. Feature Guide
When you have a new frequently used receiver address to record, create it here. After filling in the receiver, phone, and address, you can simply select it when creating orders instead of typing it every time. You can also set a Code for easy identification and associate a Default Merchant Channel.

▪ Required Fields Missing
Error message: "This field is required" (Code, Receiver Name, Receiver Phone, City, Address)
How to fix: Fill in the required fields highlighted below the inputs, then save again.
▪ Exceeding the Character Limit
Error message: The field length exceeds the limit
How to fix: Shorten the field content. See the table above for each field's limit.
▪ Data Conflict
If the same Code already exists within the merchant, saving fails. Change to an unused code and try again.
3. FAQ
3.1 FAQ
▪ Can the Code contain Chinese characters?
Yes, but it is not recommended. Some third-party systems may not support Chinese; alphanumeric codes are better for integration. Recommended format: CLIENT-A-01, STORE-TP-MAIN.
▪ Is the Default Merchant Channel required?
No, but we recommend setting it when:
- The address is dedicated to a specific channel
- You want order addresses to be auto-filled
- Different channels use different warehouse addresses
Cases where you may skip it: shared addresses, return or transfer addresses, merchant self-pickup addresses.
▪ Do I need to look up the Postal Code myself?
Not for Taiwan addresses. After selecting the City and District, the system fills in the corresponding Postal Code automatically. For overseas addresses, follow the local postal rules.
▪ How long can the Address be?
The Address field allows up to 500 characters, which is usually more than enough. It can include the full street address, building name and floor, and special notes (e.g., "back entrance", "ring the warehouse doorbell").
▪ Can I modify an address after creating it?
Yes! Addresses can be edited at any time. Modifying an address does not affect existing orders, but it does affect new orders created with this address afterwards.
▪ What if an error occurs when saving?
Take action based on the error type:
- Validation error: Check required fields and character limits, then fix according to the hints
- Duplicate Code: Change to a code not yet used within this merchant
- Network error: Check your connection and refresh the page before retrying
▪ Can I create multiple addresses at once?
Two ways:
- Continuous entry: Use the "Save and Add Another" button to enter addresses one after another
- Batch import: Use the "Import" feature on the list page to create multiple addresses at once
▪ Does the Receiver Name have to be a real name?
Not necessarily, but it should be meaningful and reachable. Acceptable: a real name, a department name (e.g., "Warehouse Dept."), a job title (e.g., "Warehouse Supervisor"), or a business name.
▪ Can the new address be used on orders right away?
Yes! The address takes effect immediately after saving. On the order creation page you can search by Code or select it from the address list.
▪ How do I enter an overseas address?
First select the destination country in "Country". The City and District fields switch to free text input, and you can fill in the "State / Province". Enter the Postal Code in the local format.
