Quick Jump: FAQ | Notes

3.1 FAQ

▪ Will modifying the code affect products already in stock?

No. The system uses internal IDs for associations, so modifying the Code won't affect existing data. However, if external systems sync data using the code, they may be affected.

▪ Will reports change after modifying the name?

Yes. After modifying the Name, all places displaying this inventory type (including reports) will show the new name.

▪ Can I cancel editing?

Yes. Click the "Cancel" button or click outside the dialog to close it without saving any changes.

▪ What happens if I change the code to one that already exists?

The system will display an error message asking you to use a different code. Each inventory type Code must be unique.

▪ Do I need to notify merchants after modifying?

If you only modify the Name, you usually don't need to notify merchants as the system will automatically update the display. However, if you modify the Code and merchants are using this code for system integration, you should inform them in advance.
